Full-time: CPAP Technician - Sleep Specialist - DME (Fort Worth, TX)
Full Job Description
The CPAP Technician will work with clinical and administrative employees to program sleep apnea devices and distribute related medical equipment. The candidate will work with medical and financial information and must display a high degree of honesty and dependability. The position requires a resourceful individual with excellent customer service skills, patient care experience, office environment proficiency and teamwork abilities to get the job done. Experience in the medical field is a plus. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
Qualifications :
Detailed oriented, quick learner, excellent customer care aptitude with professional conduct. We are looking for a personable Technician with strong communication and organizational skills. Minimum qualifications include, one year customer services experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office applications.
Responsibilities:
Dispense medical equipment according to Physician's prescription(s) (Training will be provided)
Teach Patient proper use and comfort techniques
Carefully adhered to Physician’s orders, NPSG, Joint Commission standards and HIPAA regulations
Communicate with Doctor's office and medical staff
Inspected, clean, test and maintained respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
Set equipment controls to regulate the flow of oxygen, positive air way pressure.
Distribute breathing equipment such as oxygen concentrators, portable oxygen, CPAP, AUTO CPAP, BIPAP to patients.
Answered clinical questions regarding patient’s equipment.
Sleep coaching on equipment
Resolve clinical problems.
